Deportivo vs Sevilla pt. 2

By: Paddy | January 10th, 2009

I must apologise for my lack of posts recently but my laptop was sick. Anyways since I last posted Depor have played 2 games having beat Getafe 2-1 in the league last Sunday and then getting beat by Sevilla in the Cup on Wednesday by the same score

I’m not too concerned about the Cup at the moment and if Depor manage to beat Sevilla, who they are playing at home this evening they will be up into the Champions League places.

Having rested a few of the bigger guns in the middle of the week expect Lotina to name a much stronger line up tonight, having almost a full squad to choose from save from a few of the squad players.

Sevilla on the other hand are missing Javi Varas, Javi Navarro, Abdoulay Konko, Fazio, Aquivaldo Mosquera, Lautaro Acosta, Javier Chevanton and Arouna Kone through injury and Depor old boy Aldo Duscher misses out on a trip back to the Riazor through suspension.

Heres hoping for a victory

Transfer News
Miguel de las Cuevas of Athletico and David Garcia of Espanyol are the two names been linked with Depor so far this transfer window. I wouldnt be getting too excited about either but this is a fiscal club if nothing else and theres no better man than Miguel Lotina to get the best out of their potential

Strange but true Depor Fact of the Day Depor goalkeeper Daniel Aranzubia ate 5 whole turkeys single handedly over the festive period in an effort to ‘fill out the goals better’

I would be worried if I was trying to catch a team in the league standings and I couldn’t beat them whilst they were playing with 10 men for more than half the game and also considering you were 1-0 up.

Just putting that out there. Third time’s a charm right?
